After studying at the Glassmaking School in Železný Brod, Zdeněk Petr studied at the studios of S. Libenský, J. Svobody, and V. Kopecký at the AAAD in Prague. He owns a glassworks, where he produces small-scale works. He occasionally makes fused sculptures as well.
The work on offer, Cephalopod, is one of his largest sculptures. Its significance is revealed by its inclusion in the Dictionary of Czech and Slovak Artists under the author’s catalog heading.
